Gluten Free – Wheat Free – Dairy Free – Sugar Free Option – Vegan
Ingredients
- 200g Dove’s Farm gluten-free flour
- 60g ground almonds
- 1 dessertspoon wheat-free baking powder
- 60g dairy-free margarine (Pure or another brand) straight from the fridge so it’s firm
- 60g caster sugar
- 1/4 pt soya milk or less
Directions
- Combine the flour and baking powder
- Add marg (cut into small cubes) and mix with fingertip until like breadcrumbs
- Stir in sugar
- Mix in soya milk with a fork, making a sticky but not squishy dough. Mixture is fairly moist, so if you can’t roll it out just place spoonfuls on a baking tray-brush top with soya milk or push into scone cutters from above removing carefully
- Bake at 200c for 10-15mins until golden brown
Serve with dairy-free clotted cream and strawberry jam.
Sugar free alternative:
Leave out the sugar and serve with nut butters and sugar free fruit spreads
